About this experience
Umluj sits on a shallow lagoon scattered with sandbar islands, which is why people call this stretch the Maldives of Saudi Arabia. The reef starts a few metres off the beach. A full day on a small boat: three island stops, snorkelling over living coral, and time in the water looking for turtles, rays and the reef fish that shoal along the drop-off. Dolphins are common but never guaranteed. Masks, fins and vests provided, lunch cooked on board. Maximum ten guests so nobody is queuing for the ladder. Swimmers and non-swimmers both fine — vests for everyone and a crew member stays in the water.

Half-Day Snorkel Trip
Four hours on the near reef for people who want the water without the full day. Two snorkel stops, fruit and drinks on board, back at the marina by early afternoon.
