About this experience
Rising beside the Middle Corniche where Al-Hamra Street meets the sea road, the Hassan Enany Mosque is one of Jeddah's most photographed waterfront mosques. Designed by Egyptian architect Dr. Mohamed Raouf Helmy and completed in the mid-1980s, its white walls, twin minarets and cluster of domes are laid out on an eight-pointed star plan. Inside, carved arches and a richly decorated mihrab dome reward a respectful look. The setting is the real draw: visit near sunset, when the façade glows against the Red Sea, then stroll the promenade nearby.
