Walk the coral-stone lanes of Historic Jeddah with a licensed local guide. Al-Balad has been the gateway to Makkah for more than a thousand years, and its merchant houses — Bayt Nasif, Bayt Al-Matbouli and their carved rawashin balconies — still line the same alleys the pilgrim caravans used. Our guides grew up in these neighbourhoods. Expect the trade history of the Red Sea, the story of how coral was quarried and built with, and a stop for mint tea in a restored courtyard.
